⳩ I am a Follower and Servant of King Jesus, Mdiv Student @ Luther Rice College and Seminary, Husband to my high school sweetheart, & Dad to an amazing son and an awesome daughter. I am also the Discipleship Pastor at TBA Church in Lakeland, Florida. My wife and I are high school sweethearts.
I am a fan of classical Christian thinkers in the western tradition- like the great theological “A” team: the Apostle Paul, Athanasius, Augustine, Anselm, Aquinas. Also, I am indebted to the awakening of my imagination from a very early age to some of the great imaginative literary giants of the 20th century including G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien.
I describe myself as Reformed Thomist, a Byzantine-Baptist, a Middle-Earth seeking Narnian who finds himself in the middle of the Wood between the Worlds. That’s a very imaginative way of saying that I seek to take what is good from all traditions and incorporate them into my teaching and life. There is an unbroken unity in the classic and Christian Great Tradition which I believe needs to be recovered in the Church. I think this is the project of the Reformation and, thus, I affirm the call of the Reformers to always be reforming (Semper Reformanda). I assume a pre-enlightenment unified worldview that integrates faith, reason, experience, reality and imagination. My chief end is to glorify God by enjoying Him, and to make the name of Jesus famous in this place! ⳩

In regards to me being a Christian or coming to Christ- I must very clearly state that this is not some mental or emotional assent that I gave to become a Christian.
